The Queen's Head is a 17th Century former Coaching House -
believed to be one of the oldest buildings in St Austell. It is a Grade II
Listed building in St Austell's town centre, opposite Holy Trinity Parish
church, at the end of the main, pedestrianised shopping street.
The Hotel has just undergone extensive refurbishment and now
offers 12 characterful, en suite rooms and a single bar/restaurant. The

Little Grey Cottage is
in a secluded position, approached down a long private lane, just outside the
village of Trethurgy and yet with easy access from both the A30 and the A390.
The cottage was built in the early 1800s as a tinners's cottage
and is set in three-quarter's of an acre garden. Since then it has been
tastefully renovated and much expanded so to be called a "cottage" is now
somewhat misleading !
The house is quite extensive and offers comfortable en suite
accommodation in 2 double rooms and also 1 twin bedded room with private shower
room. Little Grey Cottage is only a half-mile from the Eden Project by road or
you can walk along the bridleway to Eden to take advantage of the special
discount entry price at Eden. |

Reed's Roost is a garden studio, situated in Polgooth village,
2 miles south-west of St Austell and close to the Pentewan valley. The Cornish
Way, a mainly off-road cycling and walking trail, leads down the valley to the
coast at Pentewan - 4 miles- and up to the Lost Gardens of Heligan and on to
Mevagissey - 5 miles. The other main attractions of the Cornish Riviera are
only a short drive; eg the Eden project, Lanhydrock House & Gardens,
Trewithen, Probus and Pine Lodge gardens are all within a 20 minute drive and
the Roseland Peninsula and coastal footpath are both within easy reach.
Only a short walk from 'Reed's Roost' is a good village pub
serving good meals and beers, and a well-stocked local shop and Post Office.
The accommodation is a self-contained, centrally-heated, double
en suite room with shower, colour television, radio, tea & coffee making
facilities, set in the garden of the main house. There is also access to a
utility area with washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer and microwave.
This makes the accommodation very suitable for visitors who enjoy walking and
cycling and need to cope with wet or dirty clothes etc.
There is easy level access from the side of the house to the
accommodation. There are steps within the secluded garden which is available
for guests' use - ideal for breakfast on a sunny summer's day !

Treglyn is a mine Captain's cottage built in the 1870's and is
quietly located near the top of the Gover valley to the north-west of St
Austell town centre. It has a large garden bordering the White river and is in
pleasantly wooded part of the valley.
Treglyn offers 2 rooms; 1 en suite double bedroom in a very
large loft conversion - 16ft x 14ft - and encompassing a large shower room. The
room has 2 armchairs, colour television and has tea&coffee making
facilities available.
The second double bedroom is on the first floor. This room has
tea&coffee making facilities but has no television. Whilst the bathroom is
shared, it is only the proprietor that is using the bathroom in addition to our
guests.
Breakfast at Treglyn is taken in the P-shaped conservatory
overlooking the large garden. The conservatory is also available for our
guests' use at other times. Cooked, continental and vegetarian breakfasts are
available.
