  • Pedal Back the Years offers a chance for those who have not cycled for a long time to regain confidence on a bicycle. A range of short, fairly flat rides, accompanied by 2 volunteers are arranged every 2 weeks at locations around Cornwall. Bikes are available for hire at each venue -by prior arrangement, please
  • Events at Truro Cathedral details of events throughout the year - and more - will be found on the Cathedral's website
  • Mid-Cornwall School of Jewellery MCSJ now offers the widest range of jewellery related courses available at any independent school in the UK ! Jewellery making is fun & affordable. Whether you are a total beginner or already have some experience, you can sign up to use the facilities of the workshop. Classes are kept small to maximise your learning and enjoyment, just 6 students per session. Lisa Cain is your tutor for general jewellery and beginners classes. With over 12 years of experience in the jewellery field and a natural flair for teaching, you will find the classes informative and fun.
  • Fowey River Expeditions enjoy a walk around the Fowey estuary or, perhaps, take a leisurely canoe trip from Fowey to Lerryn or Golant under the guidance of the David Blackler

  • Mevagissey - Fowey Ferry service operating from 1st May to 30th September each year, this ferry service links the ports of Mevagissey and Fowey - stay in Fowey, visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan, stay in Mevagissey, enjoy a trip to the literary town of Fowey - Daphne du Maurier , Quiller-Couch, Kenneth Grahame etc.
  • World of Model Railways -Mevagissey - a fascinating exhibition, the model railways run through superbly detailed scenery incorporating all manner of events, China Clay trains, a wedding scene, a maze etc. And, of course, Thomas Tank features prominently!
  • Sterts Theatre was founded as an arts and educational centre in 1982. Located on the fringes of Bodmin Moor, Sterts has developed a reputation for artistic and creative excellence.   • National Maritime Museum Cornwall - (NMMC) Whether or not the sea is in your blood you are guaranteed to be entertained, educated and inspired. Housed in an award winning building on the Falmouth harbour-side, the NMMC transports you into the world of small boats and Cornish maritime history. With hands on interactive displays, sailing model boats, full size craft from the national small boat collection and windows looking under the ocean, we have everything for a great day out, come rain or shine.
  • The Admiralty - Easy Tide website Free, graphical tidal predictions for 7 days ahead at Cornish and worldwide locations. The link is preset to give the prediction at Par, near St Austell, on the Cornish Riviera. Printer friendly pages available.
  • Madison Yachts - Charter a Yacht Madison offers tailor-made cruises to suit individual needs from novice first timers to the experienced sailor. With flexible and roomy accommodation, en-suite to all cabins, this boat is an experience not to miss.
  • Cornwall Croquet Club has two courts at Porthpean Golf Club next to the Driving Range. The Club has its own small pavilion next to the courts and use of the licensed golf clubhouse, shop and bar drinks & meals. Visitors and new members always made welcome - Club afternoons are Wed and Sat from 2pm. All you need are flat soled shoes - no special dress requirements, just dress comfortably, all equipment supplied by the club.
  • Par Bowling Club is an outdoor, flat green site, behind the caravan park at Par Sands, open from April 23rd until September. All are welcome; new to bowling and want to “have a go” or experienced bowlers. Equipment can be loaned from any member during club nights ( Wednesday + Friday, newcomers be there by 6pm! ), or from the Reception at the Swimming Pool at other times. All we ask is that you wear flat-soled shoes.

  • Fowey Maritime Centre offers both chartering and training on both power boats and yachts. Run by Shawn Plummer, a highly experienced mariner, who grew up in Polruan on the Fowey estuary. Having sailed and raced on the Fowey Estuary since he was 10, Shawn now manages and leads the activities of Fowey Maritime Centre.

  • U3A Roseland and District - U3A Roseland and District is a local members' association for retired and semi-retired people. Guests are welcome to join the visits we arrange to places of interest in and around the area.
  • Enigma Treasure Trails -take you to the hidden Cornwall, the Cornwall behind the shop fronts and the overcrowded tourist attractions. I wanted to take you off the beaten track; to taste some local produce; meet some lovely people and see some amazing places. Enjoy Cornwall on a rainy day, rest your muscles after a long walk or just enjoy Cornwall from the comfort of your car. The trails are designed so that you don’t have to walk very far to find the answers to a ‘clue’ but if a trail does involve a bit of a walk then it warns you on the intro and then again on the instructions.
