Cycling News - Pedal Back the Years, Sustrans, The Cornish Way and the Eden Project , National Bike Week . . .

Pedal Back the Years offers a chance for those who have not cycled for a long time to regain confidence on a bicycle. A range of short, fairly flat rides, accompanied by 2 volunteers are arranged every 2 weeks at locations around Cornwall. Bikes are available for hire at each venue -by prior arrangement, please

Regional news from the Sustrans website about the Cornish Way, part of the South West Cycle Network from the Sustrans website - Trails to Eden are progressing well, with negotiations continuing and good support from community groups, parish and town councils, Restormel Borough Council and various stakeholders.

Route signs are being developed; further possible new routes are being investigated; and the local councils are making progress with plans for the route leading to the Wheal Martyn Museum and then on towards Bodmin.

In the next few years, as Eden develops as hub on the Cornish Way, the Eden Project is aiming to attract at least 10% of their visitors to arrive by bike or on foot - and enjoy a healthy, environmentally friendly and cheaper way to visit the Eden Project !
